Welcome to my "new" web site!

Greetings Everyone...MisterBaldy's here, and back on the web.

I have been doing a lot of contemplating recently. I wanted to continue to work on a website, but I just couldn't decide what I wanted to dedicate my time to. Working on a website has become quite a hobby for me. With the advent of WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML Editors such as Microsoft Front Page, it means that I don't have to spend as much time writing HTML Code, and I only need to do so when I want to configure something specific. But, I am getting a little ahead of my self at the moment.

When my local cable company had been bought out yet again, I dreaded the thought. Having to go through the "relisting process" for my website yet again on all of the various search engines that my previous website, MisterBaldy's Bazaar, had been listed at. It was a long 2-3 month process the first time that I had to go through it, and I wasn't prepared to go through it again. The way I figured it, if I was going to go through having to relist my website all over again, why not just start from scratch with a whole new website. I had pretty much said everything that I had wanted to on my previous website, and after all, like I had said previously...creating a website is a sort of hobby for me.

So, why am I going to put myself through the anguish of having to go through the process of relisting at the more than 60 search engines that I had been listed a previously...especially when I wasn't even going to explore the same materials that I was previously? My answer to that very question is actually quite a simple one...I am not going to!

So, I am going to do things the way that I want to; I'll update the website when I want to, and not on any particular "schedule". This is my "hobby" after all, and shouldn't I be able to enjoy it? My old website started to feel more like a job (and a non-paying one, for that matter), than the original "labor of love" that it once was. So now, I am just going to "go with the flow" as it were. I'll talk about the things that interest me, and possibly they will be of interest to you as well. So, I'll still talk about Video and PC Games, Magic: the Gathering™ and Role Playing Games...but I am going to do things on a more personal level, and at my own pace.

My Home Page is probably the only thing that I am going to update to any sort of schedule, and that is probably still going to be on a monthly basis. For the next few months though, there will be quite a few updates to my website. The creation of my new website is a "work in progress", so as I decide what I am still going to offer from my old website and what new materials I am going to make available, I will be updating and adding new pages as I continue to work on them. I am hoping that this whole process will be done by September.
